Darkwave Concerts Vienna 2026 (feat. MTTM)

Darkwave & Post-Punk in Poznan 2026 – Shows, Venues

Poznan is a university city, which means two things for live music: there’s always an audience, and the venues that survive here do so on merit. The alternative scene is compact but consistent – a handful of clubs that actually programme dark and post-punk alongside the usual student fare, and a crowd that turns up for the right reasons. 2026 is shaping up to be a genuinely strong year for the genre here, with both international and local names making it onto the calendar.

Here’s what’s on and where to find it.

The show to build your May around

MTTM + After the Sin at w_sercu Kolektyw – 23 May 2026

Date: Saturday, 23 May 2026
Doors: 19:00 / Show starts: 20:00
Where: w_sercu Kolektyw – Al. Niepodleglosci 30, 61-733 Poznan

Tickets:

This one is a double bill worth paying attention to. Two acts, two countries, one very specific sound.

MTTM arrive from Berlin – post-punk, darkwave, synthpop, new wave. A trio that treats the 80s not as nostalgia but as raw material: cold synths, guitar lines with actual tension in them, melodies that land somewhere between restless and resigned. The kind of set that sounds better in a mid-size room where you can feel the bass in your chest.

After the Sin are the local half of the bill, and that matters. Poznan’s own darkwave and coldwave project, they bring a colder, more minimal edge – dark textures, post-punk atmosphere, and new material in the works for 2026 that some of it will likely surface live here first. Catching a local act at the point where they’re building something new is always the right call.

More dark / post-punk shows in Poznan (2026)

Clan of Xymox – Klub Tama

Date: 06/02/2026 (already passed – note for 2027)
Where: Klub Tama – Poznan

The Dutch darkwave institution made their annual Polish run again in February – Poznan was the first stop before Warsaw and Krakow. If you missed it, they’ll be back. They always come back.

She Past Away + Shadows Hold – Klub 2 Progi

Date: 30/10/2026 – Doors 18:00
Where: Klub 2 Progi – Poznan

The autumn anchor for Poznan’s dark scene. She Past Away need no introduction – Turkish darkwave at its most refined, drawing directly from The Cure, Sisters of Mercy, and Clan of Xymox. Shadows Hold from Los Angeles open the night, blending darkwave with post-punk and EBM. Two acts, one evening, properly curated. Organised by Boredom Booking and Dancin’ Shoes Gigs – the promoters who consistently bring the right names to Poland.

Where Poznan’s alternative scene actually lives

The city’s dark and alternative community gathers across a handful of places that have earned their reputation over time:

w_sercu Kolektyw – Al. Niepodleglosci 30
The MTTM venue. One of Poznan’s most active alternative programming spaces – concerts, club nights, cultural events across the year. If something interesting is happening in Poznan’s underground, there’s a good chance it’s here.

Klub 2 Progi – Poznan
The venue for the She Past Away show and a reliable spot for alternative and heavier bookings throughout the year. Consistent programming, crowd that knows what they came for.

Klub Tama – Poznan
The largest club and concert venue in the city – a revitalized 90-year-old Chamber of Crafts building with over 1,000 square metres of historic interior. Where Clan of Xymox played. Handles the bigger alternative bookings and has the sound system to match.

Dragon Social Club – Poznan
A genuine cult venue. Avant-garde concerts, jazz, independent culture – and “Mordor,” the dance basement below the main space. If you want the alternative Poznan that locals actually go to on a quiet Tuesday, this is it.

Pies Andaluzyjski – Poznan
Cozy, artistic, informal. The kind of place that programmes concerts and cultural events without making a fuss about it. Worth checking their calendar whenever you’re in town.oors gives you the best spot without standing around for too long.

Practical notes for the 23 May show

w_sercu Kolektyw is centrally located on Al. Niepodleglosci – easy to reach by tram from anywhere in the city centre. Early Bird tickets at 40 PLN are genuinely good value for a double bill of this quality. The first 50 are at that price, Regular goes to 50 PLN after.

Doors at 19:00, show at 20:00 – Poznan venues tend to be reasonably punctual. Arrive within the first half hour of doors if you want a good spot.

Cash is useful as a backup at smaller venues, though w_sercu generally handles cards. Worth having both.
